Undergraduate Program
The University of Iowa’s Department of Biochemistry offers an excellent undergraduate program leading to either the B.A. or B.S. degree. Departmental courses are taught by Biochemistry faculty, and undergraduates are given the opportunity to gain experience in active research labs performing experiments. The Biochemistry Undergraduate Majors Society holds informal gatherings at which students may learn about career paths in biochemistry and the pursuit of advanced degrees.
