Postdoctoral Fellow
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW: The Department has several positions available at the postdoctoral fellow level for talented individuals interested in pursuing research in an active, collaborative environment. The Department is known for its strong research efforts in molecular biology and structural biophysics.
Areas of excellence include:
- Chromatin, gene expression, and development (Donelson, Geyer, Price, Wallrath, Weeks, Dagle)
- Cell-cell interactions (DeMali)
- DNA structure, replication and repair (Wold, Washington, N. Stellwagen)
- Protein dynamics, modeling, enzymology and bioenergetics (Plapp, Shea, Elcock)
- Structural biology (Ramaswamy, Khademi, Fuentes)
- Contractile proteins, muscle and cytoskeleton (Rubenstein)
- Glycoproteins and lipid structure and function (Montgomery, Spector, Mallampalli).
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, molecular biology, or a related field.
