- Dr. Michael Vitalini, postdoctoral scholar in the lab
of Dr. Lori Wallrath, Assoc. Professor of Biochemistry, received a best poster award at the recent Michigan State University Summer Symposium on Transcriptional Regulation and Systems Biology for his poster titled "Requirements for Drosophila HP1 Spreading and Gene Silencing." Also receiving a best poster award at the symposium was David
Marion, genetics graduate student in the lab of Dr. Pam Geyer, Professor of Biochemistry, for his poster titled "Use of LacI;LacO Tethering System to Define Mechanisms of Insulator Action." The symposium was held July 18-20 in East Lansing, Michigan.
